Why xoContentEditor?

Transparent, easy to maintain, and no need to go through an agency.

No HTML knowledge required
Select a module, fill in the fields, and arrange them by dragging and dropping. No source code, no broken layouts due to a forgotten tag.
Mobile-ready from the start
Set width, order, and visibility separately for desktop and mobile—the preview shows both views side by side.
Included in every package
Included from Basic to Enterprise—you pay nothing extra and don’t need to add on any features.

How to use it

Layout by device.

For each module, you can specify separately how wide it should be on desktop and on smartphone—including indentation, order, and alignment. A module can be in third place on desktop and first place on smartphone.

  • Width & Order per Device
  • Show or hide modules as needed
  • No second page, no duplicates

Manage content

Each block comes with exactly the right fields.

Heading, text in the familiar editor, image, button destination: You manage multi-part modules—such as expandable sections or tabs—as a list—add an entry, fill it out, done. The structure list on the left shows what the page consists of at all times; you can reorder items by dragging them.

Reuse templates

Build it once, use it anywhere.

Save a successful section under a custom name. On the next page, insert it with a single click—or replace the existing content. A preview shows you exactly what you’ll get beforehand.

  • Consistent look and feel, even when working as a team
  • Preview before insertion
  • Export & Import to Other Shops

A modular system, not a makeshift solution

21 ready-made modules—in your shop’s design.

Text, images, video, stage, maps, icon boxes, expandable sections, tabs, tables, timelines, counters, countdowns, maps, forms, newsletters, customer testimonials, info boxes, buttons, and more.

Products Right in the Middle
The product list integrates actual items into every page—prices and availability are loaded on demand and are always up to date.
Templates Instead of Copy & Paste
Save sections you’ve created once as templates and reuse them with a single click—append or replace.
Multilingual
Each language has its own content. The editor can be enabled or disabled per language—the classic text view remains available.
Optional: Custom IDs & Classes
If you wish, you can assign custom IDs and classes to individual building blocks—but this isn’t required.

Applications

Anywhere content is created.

Category pages
The article list becomes a true topic page: an introduction, advice, and trust-building content appear above the products.
CMS Pages
Landing pages, promotional pages, and informational pages—freely structured instead of crammed into a rigid text box.
News & Blog
Articles with images, quotes, and timelines that stand out from plain text.
FAQ Section
Frequently asked questions as expandable sections—clear for customers, taking the pressure off your support team.
Product Descriptions
More than just a wall of text: benefits, details, and use cases clearly organized.
Manufacturer Pages
Brands get their own dedicated pages—with images, brand history, and relevant products.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the xoContentEditor.

What’s the best way to get started?
Our illustrated guide takes you through six steps from a blank page to a finished landing page—with screenshots from the backend and two sample pages. Go to the guide.
Does the xoContentEditor cost extra?
No. The xoContentEditor is included in every current XONIC package—from Basic to Enterprise. You can find an overview on the pricing page.
Do I need to know HTML or CSS?
No. You select modules from a list and fill in fields. If you’d like, you can also assign custom IDs and classes to individual modules—but this isn’t necessary.
Do the pages look good on a smartphone?
Yes. The width, order, and visibility of each module can be set separately for desktop and mobile. The preview in the backend shows both views side by side, and modules can be displayed on only one of the two devices if desired.
Can I reuse layouts?
Yes. The Template Manager saves completed sections under their own names. On a new page, you can append the template to the existing content or replace it—including preview, import, and export.
What happens to my existing text?
They remain intact. The xoContentEditor is enabled on a per-page and per-language basis; without it, you continue to work with the familiar text view. This means you can switch over page by page instead of all at once.
Can I embed products into a content page?
Yes. The “Product List” module displays items from a category, a custom selection, or automatically shows bestsellers, new arrivals, and special offers—either as a grid or a slider. Prices and availability are loaded when the page is viewed and are therefore always up to date.
