Kaufland Integration
Sell your store’s products automatically on Kaufland.de, Kaufland.at, and other storefronts: products, prices, and inventory are synced multiple times a day, and orders are imported automatically. Starting with version 4.8.09, the shop also checks which offers are listed on Kaufland; starting with version 4.10.0, it also checks which of these are visible on Kaufland.
How do I set up the Kaufland integration?
You can find all settings under Admin → Multichannel → Kaufland → Settings.
Login Credentials & Storefront
You can find the ClientKey and ClientSecret in the Kaufland Seller Portal under Settings → API. Under Storefront (Country), select the country of your seller account (e.g., de or at)—Kaufland manages shipping groups and categories separately for each country.
After making changes to Storefront or portal settings, click the “Reload shipping groups & categories” button.
Default Shipping Group & Default Warehouse Warehouse from V4.8.09
The default shipping group applies to all products that do not have a specific selection. The default warehouse determines which Kaufland warehouse fulfills your listings.
Both can be overridden on a per-product basis: “Marketplaces” tab on the product → “Shipping Group” and “Warehouse” fields.
Item Number for Kaufland from V4.8.09
Specifies what Kaufland uses as the item number for your listings: ean (the EAN, previous behavior) or model (your own item number from the shop, as with the other marketplaces).
Kaufland does not allow the item number of existing listings to be changed. Therefore, after the conversion, run “Converting Product Numbers at Kaufland”, first with “Test Only (Dry Run)”. The store will then create each listing under the new number and only then deactivate the old one; the item remains online throughout the process.

Important: No listing without a warehouse
Kaufland requires a warehouse for every listing.
Symptom: “Listing data is missing”
If your items appear on the Kaufland portal without a price or stock level (“Listing details are missing”), no default warehouse is selected in your Kaufland account. Kaufland will then reject every listing.
Two solutions:
- In the Kaufland Seller Portal, go to Settings → Shipping & Warehouse, create a warehouse, and mark it as the default warehouse —the system will then automatically update the offers accordingly.
- Starting with version 4.8.09: Alternatively, select a warehouse directly in the store under “Default Warehouse” (Warehouse) —the store will then include it with every listing.
Synchronization: Marketplace Listings from V4.8.09
See at any time which listings are actually on Kaufland—and which of them your store recognizes.
Sync Now
Loads all offers from your Kaufland account into the overview (Marketplace Listings tab).
Filter
All / Linked / Not linked – this lets you immediately see offers without an associated store product.
Assign automatically
Assigns listings to the correct store product based on the item number or EAN.
End Offer
Ends an unassigned offer directly with Kaufland—with a confirmation prompt.
Is my offer visible on Kaufland?
from V4.10.0
The upload status “done” simply means that Kaufland has accepted the offer. The “Live” column indicates whether it is visible on Kaufland.
The “Live” column
It’s located in the Marketplace Listings tab and in the Kaufland tab (product overview), next to each product with a Kaufland listing:
- Live (green): The offer is visible on Kaufland.
- Not live (red): Kaufland is not displaying the offer.
- – (dash): No status is available for this offer yet.
Hover your mouse over the display to see when the status was last checked. The Not live filter in the Marketplace Listings tab lists only the affected offers.
Where the status comes from
Kaufland reports the status with every sync—either when you click Sync Now in the Marketplace Listings tab or automatically if the sync is set up as a cron job. The time of the last sync is shown at the top under “Last update”.
If “–” appears everywhere after the update, no sync has run since then: Click Sync Now. If “–” remains everywhere afterward, contact XONIC Support.
If Kaufland doesn’t recognize an offer at all, even though the shop considers it to have been transferred, the synchronization won’t return a status for it. The offer will then be missing from the Marketplace Listings tab and thus also under the Not live filter; in the product overview, the item will remain as “–”. Only when you check using the magnifying glass icon next to the status will it report “The marketplace has no offer with the number …” and display Not live until you refresh the page. In this case, transfer the item again.
Why isn’t a listing live?
If a listing shows Not live, you’ll see the Why not live? button next to it. In the product overview, the button simply displays a magnifying glass. If no status is available yet, the same button says Check live status. Clicking it queries Kaufland directly for the reasons: The dialog lists each reason with an explanation and the Kaufland code, and—where available—a link to additional information on Kaufland’s site. The column then displays the status retrieved.
Kaufland limits this query. The store therefore only sends it when you click the button, and never automatically.
You can resolve these issues in the store
- Stock at Kaufland is 0: If the item is in stock in the store, resubmit it.
- Price needs to be verified: Check the price in the store and the price settings for Kaufland (see “Which items and prices are sent to Kaufland?”) and resubmit the item.
- Product data is incomplete: Add the title, description, images, and category in the store, then resubmit the item.
- Product data does not match the item: Check the details in the store, correct them, and resubmit the item.
- GPSR contact information is missing: Check the details in the manufacturer management section (see Manufacturer Information (GPSR)), then resubmit an item from this manufacturer.
To resubmit, mark the item in the product overview and choose Update Product from the Action for marked products menu. The column will continue to display the status of the last check; click the magnifying glass icon to view the current status. Immediately after the upload, Kaufland may briefly mark the listing as “not live.”
You can handle this on the Kaufland side
- Listing paused: Reactivate it in the Kaufland Seller Portal.
- Missing registration numbers (WEEE, EPR, and others): Enter them in the Seller Portal.
- Documents in your Kaufland account, such as the VAT ID number: Update them in the Seller Portal.
- Trademarks, copyrights, or intellectual property rights; authenticity; terms and conditions; or reasons not specified in detail: Clarify these issues with Kaufland Seller Support.
Which items and prices are sent to Kaufland?
The “Products” and “Prices” sections under the “Settings” tab control selection and price calculation.
Item Selection
- Slaves and individual products only: omits the main items from variant families and transfers only variants and individual items.
- Export products without GTIN and filter out duplicate GTINs/MPNs: Specify how the store handles missing or duplicate identification numbers.
- Manufacturer/Brand Exclusion List: Excludes specific manufacturers or brands from the export.
- Category restriction for export: A whitelist transfers only items from the selected categories; a blacklist excludes them. Items already listed that no longer meet the criteria will be removed during the next update cycle.
- Warehouses to Include: Specifies which warehouses the transferred inventory comes from. If none are selected, all active warehouses are included.
Prices
- Customer group for price calculation: Price basis, including active special and group prices. If the group has no price for an item, the default price applies.
- Include special offer prices: Includes special prices.
- Automatic price markup: fixed or percentage markups up to a net value. Marketplace prices entered for the item take precedence.
- Automatic gross price rounding: The store rounds all gross prices up to x.99 using 0.99.

How does Kaufland obtain the manufacturer information (GPSR)?
The EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) requires the manufacturer’s name and address; for manufacturers outside the EU, it also requires a responsible person within the EU.
Automatically from the Manufacturer Management module from V4.10.0
The store transfers the GPSR information from the manufacturer management system to Kaufland once per manufacturer; this information applies to all items from that manufacturer. If the manufacturer is based outside the EU, the address maintained in the system within the EU is included as the responsible person.
For each manufacturer, Kaufland selects one entry from the information provided by all retailers. Your entry is thus transmitted, but it is not necessarily the one displayed.
What Kaufland Requires
- Name, city, and country; within the EU, the ZIP code is also required.
- Street and house number. The system automatically separates these two; it does not transmit an address without a recognizable house number.
- An email address or a website.
If any information is missing, the store will report this during transmission along with the manufacturer’s name. The offer remains unaffected online; prices and inventory levels continue to update.
How does the fully automated process work?
Once set up, the integration runs on its own.
Synchronization via cron job
New items, price changes, and inventory updates are automatically sent to Kaufland several times a day. Orders are imported hourly and confirmed back to Kaufland upon shipment.
Automatic error recovery from V4.8.09
If an offer is temporarily rejected by Kaufland (e.g., missing warehouse), the store automatically retries daily—as soon as the issue is resolved, the offer appears without any further action required.
If Kaufland Does Not Respond
from V4.10.0
If the connection to Kaufland is lost or Kaufland is temporarily unavailable, the transfer of items, prices, and inventory is not considered complete: The item displays the upload status error, and the store will retry during the next run, not just the following day. If you initiate the transfer yourself in the backend, the message “Kaufland did not return a valid response” will also appear.
The store does not create orders until Kaufland has transmitted the order data in full. If the retrieval process is interrupted, the next import will retrieve the order.
Check Shipping Notification
from V4.10.0
If the store has successfully reported the shipment to Kaufland, the order history will show the entry „Versandübermittlung an Kaufland erfolgreich.“ (displayed in German). If this entry is missing, first check the tracking number: Without a tracking number, the store does not report the shipment to Kaufland and does not display a notification. Add the tracking number to the order and then set the order to a shipping status again, for example “shipped”.
