Starting with version 4.8.5, your store generates Hermes shipping and return labels directly within the order—via the official Hermes Shipping Interface (HSI). No CSV export, no portal login, no third-party providers. Hermes Germany has tested and approved our integration.
How this benefits you
Labels directly from the order
Shipping and return labels are generated as PDFs at the click of a button. The tracking number is automatically added to the order, and your customer receives it along with the link to Hermes tracking. This eliminates the need to switch between a portal or spreadsheet.
Returns Without a Printer
The return slip is available as a QR code upon request. Your customer simply shows it on their phone at the PaketShop—this saves them the trouble of using a printer and saves you the need for a paper insert.
Services are derived from the order
Cash on delivery, package notification, delivery to a PaketShop, bulky items, bag packaging, preferred delivery date, or age verification: The shop derives all shipping options directly from the order. You don’t have to enter anything twice and can select options by shipping method as needed.
Even outside the EU
For shipments to non-EU countries, the shop automatically generates the customs information—commodity code, country of origin, value of goods, and the EORI number corresponding to the destination country. This information is drawn from the product data you maintain anyway.
What you’ll need
A Hermes business customer account. The login credentials you receive depend on your shipping volume: For 300 to 100,000 shipments per year, you can register yourself on the Hermes business customer portal; for 100,000 or more shipments per year, Hermes will provide you with personalized support and supply you with the login credentials. Your store already has the software ID that XONIC uses to identify itself as a software partner with Hermes—you don’t need to apply for anything.
Before going live, test the integration in sandbox mode: This does not result in any actual shipments.
