Information on the Authenticity of Customer Reviews
Each consumer review is verified for authenticity before it is published, ensuring that reviews come only from consumers who have actually purchased or used the products being reviewed.
This verification is carried out by sending personalized links to consumers after they complete an online order; these links lead to an online review form and ensure that access to the review feature is granted only to consumers who have actually purchased a product.
What this means for you
Businesses that make consumer reviews available must state whether and how they ensure that the reviews come from consumers who have actually used or purchased the goods or services (Section 5b(3) of the German Act against Unfair Competition, UWG). This is how we do it on this website:
- Reviews only after a purchase: Only customers who have ordered from us can write a review. After the order is completed (installed or shipped), you receive an email with a personal link to the review form. Logged-in customers also see the form on the product page, but only for purchased products.
- Checked before publication: Our team checks every review and only then approves it.
- One review per order: Each order allows one review per product. Customers who order again can review again.
- AI summary: The "What customers say" section automatically summarizes the approved reviews, is labeled as AI-generated and is not a review itself.
Reviews in your own XONIC Shop
This procedure is part of the standard XONIC Shop System: purchase-only reviews, review requests by email and approval in the backend are set up in your store's configuration, and a notice page like this one is already included. If your settings differ, adjust its text accordingly.
