In Detail

What we check for you in Search Console.

Search Console shows which pages of your store Google is aware of, which ones end up in the index, and where there are issues. The XONIC Shop System provides the foundation for this: It generates SEO sitemaps for categories, products, CMS pages, news, and product images, and compiles them into a sitemap index that we submit to your property.

We then keep an eye on the reports that are particularly relevant for online stores:

  • Page indexing: pages with redirects, pages not found (404), and “Crawled—not currently indexed”
  • Sitemaps: Processing status and number of pages detected
  • Product snippets and merchant listings from the store’s structured product data
  • Performance: Search queries, clicks, and impressions over time

Search Console is particularly insightful after a relaunch or a switch to a new store platform. If you later change the URL of a category or product in the XONIC Store, the XONIC Shop System redirects the old address to the new one via a 301 redirect—Search Console shows whether Google is picking up the new pages.
