XONIC Plus: Advanced Feature Functions – Specifications

License Model: Annual license (automatic renewal; cancellation required 4 weeks prior to expiration). Domain-specific; transfers possible upon consultation.

§ 1 Subject Matter of the Contract

XONIC Plus: Advanced Feature Functions extends the XONIC shop system with rule-based if-then logic for product options, dynamic price calculations using formulas, and tabular management of advanced attributes. Annual license with automatic renewal (cancellation required 4 weeks prior to expiration via email).

§ 2 Scope of Features

  • Rule Editor: If-Then rules with operators (<, <=, =, !=, >=, >), AND/OR operators, cross-option comparisons, shopping cart quantity rules
  • Automated Actions: 6 reaction types (error message, warning message, change option value, show/hide option value, hide option)
  • Dynamic Formulas: Real-time calculation with syntax {=ov[option_id]*faktor+konstante}, mathematical operations (+, -, *, /), price integration
  • Matrix Editor: Tabular management of additional fields per option value (item numbers, stock quantities, weights, technical parameters), pagination for more than 50 rows
  • Multilingual support: Error messages and warnings configurable per language
  • Real-time updates: Ajax-based rule evaluation in the frontend without reloading the page

§ 3 Technical Requirements

  • XONIC Shop System V4+, PHP 8.3+, MySQL
  • JavaScript support in the browser (for Ajax-driven real-time updates)
  • Database tables for rule management (created automatically during installation)
  • License key with the module flag enabled

§ 4 What the module CANNOT do

  • Automatic inventory management based on rule logic
  • ERP/merchandise management integration for option data
  • Generation of visual product previews based on option selection
  • Export/import of rule sets as standalone files
  • Versioning or history tracking of rules

§ 5 Support & Licensing

  • Licensing model: Annual license (automatic renewal; cancellation must be submitted via email 4 weeks prior to expiration). Domain-specific; transfers subject to consultation.
  • Activation: Via the XONIC Admin interface under "Configuration → Licenses," local license validation.
  • Support: As specified in the purchased Support & Update License. Initial response according to the support service description, depending on the support package (48, 24, or 12 business hours).
  • Updates: Bug fixes and compatibility updates are free of charge during the license term; installation via the XONIC backend.
  • Customizations: Programming beyond the standard feature setavailable upon request (separate quote).

§ 6 Disclaimer & Customer Obligations

The software is provided “as is” without warranty. XONIC Solutions is not liable for:

  • Data loss due to incorrect rule configurations (customer obligation: perform a backup before making complex changes)
  • Loss of revenue or lost profits resulting from non-use or faulty rules
  • Incompatibilities with third-party modules or custom code (customer responsibility: testing on staging)
  • Performance issues with complex rule sets (>100 rules per product)
  • Incorrect calculations due to incorrect formula syntax (Customer responsibility: validation)

Customer responsibility prior to going live: Conduct thorough testing in the staging environment! Warranty period: 12 months from license activation.

§ 7 Data Protection

  • Processing of product-related data only (option values, rules, formulas)—no personal customer data is stored.
  • License validation: Encrypted via HTTPS to the XONIC license server. The following data is transmitted: domain, license key, store version.
  • XONIC does not process any customer data from the module (except for explicitly requested support services).
  • No data is disclosed to third parties outside the license validation process.

§ 8 Legal Information

  • German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
  • Place of jurisdiction: Chemnitz (for merchants and legal entities under public law).
  • Severability clause: The invalidity of individual provisions shall not affect the validity of the agreement as a whole.
  • Any amendments or additions must be made in writing. Existing licensees will be notified of any changes via email.

If-Then Rules
Options react to one another: hide, change, or display a warning—depending on what your customer selects.
Formula-Based Pricing
Prices and values are calculated in real time based on user input—ideal for dimensions, quantities, and materials.
Additional Values
Custom values per attribute, such as price or weight per square meter—the foundation for your formulas.

Rule logic

You define the rule. The store implements it.

“If Option A has the value X, then change Option B.” You can set up these relationships in the visual editor—using comparison operators, AND/OR links, and comparisons between options. No one needs to program here.

Price Calculation

The price is calculated automatically.

Formulas such as {=ov12*2+10} calculate prices and values in real time—based on dimensions, quantities, or combinations of multiple options. Perfect for area calculations, tiered pricing, and custom orders.

Additional values

Each value comes with its own set of numbers.

Under “Edit Additional Values,” you can create separate columns for each attribute—such as price or weight per m²—and enter the corresponding figures for each value. Surcharge, weight, and display formulas access these values via placeholders.
