XONIC Plus: xoPort Data Interface – Specifications

§ 1 Subject Matter of the Contract

The XONIC Plus: xoPort Data Interface is the central license for professional data exchange between the XONIC shop system and external systems. It includes three integration methods: XML import/export with XSLT transformation, the xoPort REST API (JSON, OAuth2), and direct inventory management connectors. Annual license with automatic renewal (cancellation required 4 weeks prior to expiration via email).

§ 2 Scope of Functionality

A) XML Import/Export Interface

• XML Export: Products (including categories, prices, tiered pricing, inventory levels, attributes, images, cross-selling, custom fields, multilingual descriptions), categories (hierarchies, SEO URLs), orders (complete line item structure), customers (addresses, customer groups), manufacturers, coupons
• XML Import: Upload via backend/FTP, XSLT normalization, schema validation, batch processing (configurable size), conflict resolution (update vs. create new), import of all export entities
• XSLT Transformation: XSLT 1.0 for any target formats, predefined templates for SelectLine, Taifun, Prodress, OpenTrans (BMEcat 2005), POSMaster, oEmbed, PHP functions can be integrated into templates, custom template adjustments possible
• Security: IP whitelist, API key authentication, HTTPS encryption

B) xoPort REST API

• Data format: JSON (UTF-8)
• Authentication: OAuth2 Client Credentials Grant (RFC 6749) with scope-based authorization
• Methods: GET (Export), POST (Insert), PUT (Update), DELETE – RESTful per RFC 7231
• Resources: Products (including images, tabs, prices, videos, suppliers, ContentEditor), Categories, Customers (multiple addresses), Orders (export only), Manufacturers (GPSR), Suppliers, News, FAQ, CMS Pages
• Features: Batch processing, usage tracking, payload logging, query filters, unknown field warnings
• Security: OAuth2 tokens (time-limited), scope-based permissions (read/write/delete per resource), HTTPS encryption

C) Inventory Management Connectors

• JTL-Wawi: Bidirectional synchronization via the JTL connector – products, categories, manufacturers, orders, payment status, inventory levels, prices, customer master data, cross-selling, product images
• Tricoma: Product master data, variants, order transmission, inventory synchronization
• Other systems: Can be integrated via XML/XSLT or REST API (SelectLine, Xentral, Sage, etc.)

D) Backend Administration

• License activation via the XONIC Admin interface
• OAuth2 client management with usage statistics and log view (REST API)
• Security settings: IP filters, API keys (XML), OAuth2 clients/scopes (REST)
• XSLT template management via FTP/SSH
• JTL token configuration

§ 3 Technical Requirements

• XONIC shop system (CSV & XML starting with V3, xoPort REST API starting with V4.6), PHP 8.3+, MySQL
• PHP extensions for XSLT processing and XML manipulation (for XML interface)
• Server storage for large catalogs (recommended: at least 256 MB for >10,000 products)
• Write permissions for import/export files on the server

§ 4 What the License DOES NOT Include

• Automatic monitoring and error correction for faulty import files (manual correction required)
• Graphical preview of product images during import (file name matching only)
• Export of binary data (images, PDFs)—only filenames/URLs are exported
• Real-time synchronization (only periodically via cron job, webhook, or manual trigger)
• Export of payment information (excluded to comply with data protection regulations)
• Import/export of store configurations, design templates, or language files
• Automatic conversion between ERP systems without configuration or template customization
• Hosting or operation of external inventory management systems (JTL-Wawi, Tricoma, etc.)

§ 5 Support & Licensing

• Licensing model: Annual license (automatic renewal; cancellation must be submitted via email 4 weeks prior to expiration).
• Activation: Via the XONIC Admin interface; local license validation without call-home.
• Support: As per the purchased Support & Update License (separate agreement).
• Updates: Support services and updates during the license term in accordance with the purchased support level.
• Customizations: Development of customer-specific XSLT templates, REST API integrations, or WaWi connector configurations upon request (separate quote).

§ 6 Disclaimer & Customer Obligations

The software is provided “as is” without warranty. XONIC Solutions is not liable for:

• Data loss due to faulty import files, XSLT errors, or API misconfiguration (customer obligation: perform a backup before importing)
• Downtime of external systems (ERP, merchandise management) or interface failures
• Incompatibilities with third-party systems without appropriate configuration or template customization
• Performance issues due to insufficient server sizing (customer responsibility: hardware sizing)
• Misconfigurations in IP whitelists, API keys, OAuth2 clients, or XSLT templates (customer’s responsibility)
• Changes to APIs of external systems (JTL, Tricoma, etc.) that require adjustments

Customer responsibility prior to going live: Perform test runs in the staging environment! Data backups prior to import/export operations are the customer’s responsibility.

§ 7 Data Protection

• Processing of customer data (name, address, email) is limited exclusively to the purposes of data integration.
• Customer responsibility: Store/transfer exported files (XML, JSON) in compliance with the GDPR (HTTPS, encrypted FTP). Maintain confidentiality of API keys, OAuth2 secrets, JTL tokens, and IP filter configurations.
• XONIC does not process any customer data from the module (except for explicitly requested support services).
• License validation takes place locally without data transmission to external servers (offline check).
• OAuth2 token data is stored exclusively in the store database.

§ 8 Legal Information

• German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
• Place of jurisdiction: Chemnitz (for merchants and legal entities under public law).
• Severability clause: The invalidity of individual provisions shall not affect the validity of the agreement as a whole.
• Any amendments or additions must be made in writing.
